It has been another busy month for the teams working on Leaseweb Cloud. After toasting to the go-live of the U.S Cloud platform, we didn’t take a break. Instead we prepared for another expansion. I’m proud to announce that all the hard work has resulted in a new Cloud PoP for Leaseweb Germany in their state-of-the-art Frankfurt-based data center!
In 2010, Leaseweb Germany entered the DACH market with an extensive set of infrastructure products – ranging from dedicated servers to colocation and beyond. There has been a huge interest in these services, and numerous customers are using them for their businesses. The availability of Cloud services in Germany is something Leaseweb customers were actively asking for – they want to have their data physically located in Germany, and love the support of the Frankfurt-based staff. Following on that success, it made perfect sense to build the next Cloud platform there.
The product selection in Germany is the same as the Express Cloud offering of Leaseweb Netherlands and Leaseweb USA: a number of fixed sizes to choose from, very likeable rates, and of course a free firewall to further protect your instance. We used our blueprint-approach to build the platform on high-quality hardware and storage – always implementing redundant systems and connections to keep the product reliable and fast, like the customers on the Dutch and U.S. platforms are used to.
Next up: bringing the Leaseweb Cloud to even more data centers, and adding even more features. Keep an eye on this blog, and expect more news soon!
