Join us on June 4 for the Leaseweb TechSummit

tech summit logoThursday June 4 is going to be the day: the second Leaseweb Tech Summit will take place in Amsterdam. The Tech Summit is going to be a spectacular event full of fascinating technical presentations by hosting specialists from all around the world. But there is also plenty of time to ask questions and to socialize while enjoying a drink.

The Tech Summit is intended for techies, so you won’t be hearing marketing pitches and sales talks. What you will get to hear are the latest technical ins-and-outs about hosting, automation and security. Besides speakers from Leaseweb, there are also (international) experts from companies like Docker, Sendgrid, Cisco Systems, PowerDNS, NTT Networks, Coolblue and Booking.com. So it’s the perfect opportunity to exchange thoughts about cutting edge technology with experts you don’t run into every day. What can you expect?

All in all, 14 speakers will be coming to deliver 5 keynote addresses and multiple sessions in 2 tracks. You’ll hear international case studies, for example in the session by Diogo Mónica from the American Docker, an open platform for developers and system administrators for building and using distributed applications. He will talk about the pitfalls of security at a start-up. Julien Lemoine, co-founder and CTO of Algolia, has an inspiring story about Algolia’s search service and how they made their infrastructure scalable.

Speakers summit 2015Companies like Coolblue and Booking.com will also be at the Tech Summit. Paul de Raaij, DevOps engineer at Coolblue, will talk about continuous deployment and automation of tasks and processes. His session is about how Coolblue puts new features into use with only the most unavoidable manual actions, and he will demonstrate how the company uses continuous deployment for different languages and environments, which tools they use and why. This presentation is part of the track that zooms in on DevOps, during which Ryan Frantz of the American Etsy, a P2P e-commerce website, will also be speaking.
Booking.com is represented by security engineers William Gerber and Brad Lhotsky, who, in their session ‘Serendipity in Logging’, tell about how tricky it can be to store logging data in one place. In addition, they will discuss both the architecture (ElasticSearch) and matters such as scaling and reliability.

Last year, Leaseweb organized the Tech Summit exclusively for Leaseweb employees, but this year everyone who is interested in the latest in hosting technology is welcome. So come along to the banks of the IJ in Amsterdam to be inspired for a whole day and to network with specialists.
