Ordering API for VPS: Easily Scale Your Services with Leaseweb

Were happy to announce the addition of ordering capabilities to our API for VPS instances.

What is the new ordering API for VPS?

If you’ve ever wished you could spin up VPS instances without having to go through the ordering process on our website each time, our new API is here to make that a reality.

Enabling you to create an automated experience instead of having to manually order VPS on our website, you can leverage this API to streamline your ordering process to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Who can use this API?

Only verified existing customers with post-payment enabled can place orders via API.

New customers must complete KYC (KnowYourCustomer) verification first and need to enable post-payment.

Be aware that post-payment needs to be enabled on a per entity basis, requiring you to get it enabled for each location you’d like to use the ordering API for.

How to get started

First, you need to ensure post-payment is enabled for your account. Log in to your Leaseweb account. Create a ticket to enable post-payment for your account. Once post-payment is enabled, visit our API and start creating your automation.

How to enable post-payment

To enable post-payment, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select “Support” in the left navigation and then “Tickets”.
  3. Select the “Create a New Ticket” button to bring up tab options. You want the tab “Administrative Support”.
  4. From the dropdown that appears, select “Finance” as the topic, add your details, and submit.

Someone from our team will get back to you and confirm your post-payment setup.

What are the benefits of this new API?

  • Full automation
Integrate VPS provisioning into CI/CD pipelines, selfservice portals, or internal tooling. No more repetitive manual clicks.
  • Speed to market
Orders are processed instantly via the API without you having to go through the website, shaving time off the traditional ordering cycle.
  • Organizationlevel control
An API key is tied to a specific sales entity, ensuring that users only see the products and pricing for their region or subsidiary.
  • Reduced operational overhead
Centralized ordering reduces the need for individual support tickets related to VPS provisioning.
  • Reseller efficiency

You can also directly connect this API to a button in your own portal to allow customers to directly order VPS instances without requiring them to forecast demand or buy in bulk in advance.
