For over a year, we’ve been working hard towards the complete transformation of iWeb into Leaseweb Canada. We can finally and proudly say that the day we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. As of now, we will be flying the banner of Leaseweb high as our official new identity.
With the global support of Leaseweb’s resources, inventory and experience, combined with the local expertise of our Canadian team, I am confident that this entity has nothing but accelerated growth ahead of it. We’re excited to be hosting a launch event in May where our customers and connections can celebrate our new brand with us. Internally, the culture has shifted as employees embrace their new Leaseweb name. Some of our team members have been here for 20 years, so the fact that they are excited about the new era as Leaseweb Canada is fantastic.
New processes, improved support
Many processes have been updated to align with the global organization, and these updates are setting us up as a serious competitor in the Canadian market. Our team has gone through intense training with the migration to the new automated ecommerce platform – which will bring enormous benefits for our customers. For example, they can order a dedicated server in a matter of minutes without any human interaction needed.
We’ve invested time and money in improving the customer experience in the post-sale stages too, as we aim to build long-term relationships. The new customer portal is more interactive and is a clear upgrade from the one we had previously. We’ve also deployed more applications internally to support our employees and enable them to do a better job. Regular leadership and customer care training will ensure our new standard only continues to rise.
New cloud products
With a list of new products to launch, we kicked things off in November last year with the successful introduction of Elastic Compute. This February, we’ll be releasing Acronis and we’re looking to deploy VMware vSphere around April. Additionally, the network product Cloud Connect will enable customers to connect their existing cloud platforms to Leaseweb cloud platforms. In short, we’re diving into the cloud market with the benefit of Leaseweb’s experience behind it, and as the global inventory grows, so will ours.
The future of Leaseweb Canada
Leaseweb Canada has been equipped with all the tools we need to grow, and the future is looking very bright indeed. As we take steps to further penetrate the Montreal market, and expand in Toronto and Vancouver, I believe that our identity as a Canadian provider backed by a global force puts us in a unique position to meet the needs of the market. It won’t be long before we are the go-to provider in that space moving forward.
