Leaseweb started life at humble beginnings, with one server and two enthusiastic founders in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We are now really proud that, since our inception 14 years ago, we have grown into a quality hosting provider for customers in 177 countries worldwide.
In December 2010, Leaseweb expanded to Germany with the acquisition of the Frankfurt based hosting provider, netdirekt. This followed our first data center in North America which opened in Manassas, Virginia in late 2010. Leaseweb currently peers with all major European internet exchanges: Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Copenhagen, Luxembourg, Paris, Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, Milan, Vienna, Stockholm, Oslo, Zurich and Madrid.
